Data we collect

• —Order and contact details: name, e-mail, phone or WhatsApp number, and the photos you buy.
• —Account details, if you create an account: name, e-mail and an encrypted password.
• —Coverage requests: the information you send in the booking form (event, academy, belt, category and message).
• —Event photographs in which you may appear, taken at competitions and events we cover.
• —Technical data: a session cookie needed for the cart and sign-in, and server logs (IP address, browser) kept for security.

Face recognition

To help athletes find their photos, faces in published event photos are indexed with Amazon Rekognition. When you search with a selfie, the selfie is processed only to run that search and is never stored. You must give your consent before every search. You can ask us to remove your face data from our index at any time.

How we use your data

• —To process orders, send payment links and deliver your purchased photos.
• —To answer coverage requests and send quotes.
• —To send service e-mails about your orders. We do not send marketing e-mails without your consent.
• —To prevent fraud and keep the service secure.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the service: Cloudflare R2 (photo storage), Amazon Web Services (face recognition and e-mail delivery), Ziina (payments — we never see or store your card details) and our hosting provider. They process data on our behalf and under their own security commitments. Some providers may store data outside the UAE with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep data

Order records are kept for as long as required by UAE accounting rules. Download links expire after 30 days and can be renewed on request. Face data is kept while the event gallery is online. Coverage requests are kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, or to have your photos or face data removed from our galleries. Write to contact@bjjlens.ae and we will reply within 30 days.

Minors

Many events include young athletes. Purchases and selfie searches for minors must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who can also ask us to remove a minor's photos at any time.
